Sustainability
Moving
the world
responsibly.
Sustainability at Ailoo isn't an annual report. It's built into every decision we make — how we price a ride, how an algorithm treats a driver, and what climate targets we commit to publicly.
Our stance
Sustainability
means people first.
"We believe the most sustainable action a mobility company can take is fair pay. A driver earning a fair wage doesn't take extra deadhead trips. A rider paying a fair price chooses shared transport over a private car. Economic justice and environmental sustainability are not in tension — they are the same thing."
— Abdul Kumshey, CEO & Co-Founder
Our six pillars
Real commitments.
Measured and public.
Fewer cars. Cleaner air.
Every shared ride removes a solo car from the road. Our AI routing engine clusters trips to reduce total kilometres driven, cutting emissions per journey by up to 30% versus private car alternatives. We are actively building an EV-priority dispatch programme for Riyadh launching in 2025.
Economic dignity for every driver.
0% commission isn't a gimmick — it's a redistribution of value back to the people who do the work. A Riyadh driver on Ailoo earns 20–30% more per trip than on competing platforms. More income means healthcare, education, and financial stability for tens of thousands of Saudi families.
Mobility as a right, not a luxury.
We price rides 15% below any competitor — structurally, not as a promo. This makes daily transport accessible to more of Saudi Arabia's population, including students, daily commuters, and lower-income households who currently can't afford ride-hailing.
Transparent by design.
No surge pricing. No hidden fees. No algorithm that silently raises your fare at peak hours. Ailoo's pricing model is fully disclosed in the app before every booking. Drivers see the same numbers riders see. Radical transparency is a sustainability commitment.
Investing in Saudi talent.
We hire locally first. Our engineering and operations teams are majority Saudi. Through free driver training programs and our partnership with Monsha'at, we are building skills in the Saudi workforce that extend well beyond the ride-hailing industry.
A roadmap to net zero.
By 2027, we commit to 30% EV fleet adoption in Riyadh. By 2030, we target carbon-neutral operations through a combination of EV expansion, renewable energy for data infrastructure, and verified carbon offset programmes for unavoidable emissions.
