Driver Agreement
Introduction
This Driver Agreement ("Agreement") governs the relationship between you ("Driver") and Ailoo ("we," "us," or "our") when you use the Ailoo platform to receive and complete ride requests in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
By registering as a driver on Ailoo, you confirm you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by this Agreement, the Terms of Service, and all other Ailoo policies referenced herein.
Why Ailoo is different
Driver eligibility
To register and remain active as an Ailoo driver, you must:
- Be at least 21 years old
- Hold a valid Saudi driving licence (minimum 2 years' experience)
- Own or have legal authorisation to operate the vehicle you register
- Pass Ailoo's background check and identity verification process
- Have no more than 3 major traffic violations in the past 3 years
- Have no criminal record involving violence, theft, or fraud
- Complete Ailoo's mandatory onboarding and safety training
- Maintain valid vehicle insurance throughout your time on the platform
0% commission model
This is permanent
Here is exactly how your earnings are calculated:
- You receive: 100% of the fare shown to the rider
- Payment processing fee: 1.5–2.5% deducted by our payment processor (not by Ailoo)
- Ailoo commission: SAR 0.00
- No subscription fees, no weekly fees, no "service fees"
If Ailoo ever changes this model, you will receive a minimum of 60 days' notice and the option to deactivate your account and receive all outstanding earnings immediately.
Driver obligations
During trips
- Arrive at the confirmed pick-up location within the estimated arrival time
- Follow the route shown in the Ailoo app unless the rider requests a change
- Drive safely and comply with all Saudi traffic laws at all times
- Maintain a professional, respectful demeanour toward all riders
- Do not use your phone for non-navigation purposes while driving
- Do not accept cash payments outside the Ailoo platform
Non-discrimination
You may not refuse or cancel a trip based on the rider's destination, nationality, gender, religion, disability, or appearance. Discriminatory behaviour is grounds for immediate deactivation.
Women-only trips
Female drivers who opt into women-only mode must be aware that always-on audio recording is activated on these trips for rider safety. Recordings are encrypted and accessed only in the event of a dispute or emergency. Participation in women-only mode is voluntary for drivers but, once enabled, must be honoured for every matched trip.
Daily commute subscriptions
- Honour every scheduled commute trip in your active subscription agreements
- Notify Ailoo at least 24 hours in advance if you cannot complete a scheduled trip
- Cancelling a commute subscription trip without valid notice counts as a strike
- Consistent lateness (more than 10 minutes on 3+ trips in a month) may trigger subscription reassignment
Vehicle standards
- Vehicle must not be older than 7 model years at time of registration
- Interior and exterior must be clean and well-maintained at all times
- Air conditioning must be functional
- All seatbelts must be present and in working condition
- No significant damage visible to riders (major dents, broken windows, missing trim)
- Vehicle must display a current Fahas (annual inspection) sticker
- Ailoo reserves the right to inspect vehicles at any time and require repairs as a condition of continued platform access
Earnings and payouts
Standard rides
- Earnings from completed trips are credited to your Ailoo wallet within 2 hours of trip completion
- Wallet balance can be transferred to your registered Saudi bank account at any time
- Bank transfers are processed within 24 hours on business days
- There are no minimum withdrawal amounts
Daily commute subscriptions
- Subscription earnings for the full period are paid upfront when the rider activates the subscription
- If a subscription is cancelled early by the rider (for an eligible reason), pro-rated earnings for completed trips are retained by you
- Subscription earnings are not reclaimed for driver-initiated cancellations — strikes are applied instead
Bonuses and incentives
Ailoo may offer completion bonuses, referral bonuses, or high-demand incentives from time to time. These are not guaranteed income and are subject to their own terms.
Ratings and performance
- Riders rate you after every trip on a 1–5 scale
- Your displayed rating is a rolling average of your most recent 500 trips
- Maintaining a rating above 4.5 keeps you in "Top Driver" status with priority dispatch
- Ratings between 4.0–4.5 trigger a performance review
- Ratings below 4.0 for two consecutive review periods may result in deactivation
- You can see feedback from riders in your driver dashboard
- You have the right to appeal ratings you believe are inaccurate or made in bad faith
Suspension and deactivation
Strike system
- Strike 1: warning notification
- Strike 2: 24-hour account suspension
- Strike 3 (within 30 days): 7-day suspension and mandatory retraining
- Strike 4: permanent deactivation review
Grounds for immediate deactivation (no strikes)
- Physical violence or sexual misconduct toward a rider
- Driving under the influence of alcohol or controlled substances
- Fraudulent activity — fake trips, payment manipulation
- Operating with a suspended Saudi driving licence
- Serious traffic violation resulting in injury or death
- Sharing your account with another person
Appeals
You can appeal any suspension or deactivation within 14 days by emailingdrivers@ailoo.co. All outstanding earnings at the time of deactivation are paid out within 7 days unless withheld due to active fraud investigation.
Safety requirements
- Complete Ailoo's mandatory safety training before your first trip
- Complete annual safety refresher training to maintain active status
- Report any accident, however minor, via the in-app safety button within 1 hour
- You must remain with the rider after an accident until emergency services arrive if needed
- Do not share rider personal details (name, address, phone) with any third party
- If a rider appears in distress, injured, or in danger, contact emergency services immediately
Independent contractor status
You are not an Ailoo employee
- You are responsible for your own tax obligations under Saudi law
- You are responsible for your own vehicle insurance
- Ailoo does not provide employee benefits, health insurance, or end-of-service payments
- You may work for other platforms simultaneously
- Ailoo does not guarantee a minimum number of trip requests
Intellectual property
The Ailoo name, logo, and platform are owned by Ailoo. You may not use them in marketing, social media, or any public communication without prior written approval from Ailoo. You may identify yourself as an "Ailoo driver" when referring to your work.
Termination
You may deactivate your driver account at any time via the Ailoo Driver app or by contacting drivers@ailoo.co. Any outstanding earnings will be paid out within 7 business days.
We may terminate this Agreement immediately for serious violations as described in Section 08. For performance-based deactivations, 14 days' notice will be given except where safety requires immediate action.
